Sharps Model 1868 lever action breechloading single shot carbine with 22" round barrel chambered in .50-70 Government with flip up carbine rear sight graduated for 800 yards and German silver blade insert front sight. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm in single barrel band carbine configuration with saddle ring and military buttplate. CONDITION: Very good, with original bluing turned to a brown gray patina with handling and storage marks throughout. Stock and forearm are strong with no major cracks and marks from handling throughout. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is heavily frosted with abrasion throughout and well defined rifling. TON
