Lot contains: (A) German World War I Model 1916 helmet marked "ET66" for "Eisenhuttenwerk Thale" in a shell size of "66". Exterior retains 65-70% of its original gray-finish with freckling, etc. Interior retains 75-80% of its gray-green finish with freckling, dust, etc. On the inner skirt is scratched an illegible German name and what appears to be "1916-1917". An M1916 leather liner assembly is present with all 3 pads, filler, drawstring, and band. Leather exhibits moderate staining, dryness, and is intact. Both M1891 chinstrap mounting posts are present. The rear liner mounting rivet is a postwar replacement. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) German World War I postwar camouflage Model 1916 helmet marked "SE62" for "Sachsische Emailler" in a shell size of "62". Exterior retains 90+% of a postwar-applied camouflage paint scheme. Interior retains 60-65% of its gray-green finish
with postwar-applied spray red brown camouflage paint over the remainder. An M1916 leather liner assembly is present with heavy damage to the pads, leather band is present, no filler but the bags are present, and the drawstring is missing. All 3 of the liner rivets are present, as well as both M1891 chinstrap mounting posts. CONDITION: Overall good. WEZ
