1901 Vintage Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine, serial number 160333. Standard 20" barrel and magazine tube. Chambered in sought after .44-40 WCF cartridge. Blue with case hardened lever, hammer, and buttplate. Nicely figured walnut stock and forearm with carbine style buttplate. Saddle ring and staple mounted to left side of frame. According to the accompanying Cody Firearms research letter dated November 16, 2021, this gun is noted "No Stock", which can mean, "Customer Furnished". CONDITION: Excellent plus overall with 95-97% bright original blue. 95-97% bright original case color remaining on the hammer and lever. 80-85% bright original case color remaining on the buttplate. Wood is excellent showing little wear. Bore is bright and clean. Action is tight and crisp. These carbines chambered in .44-40 WCF cartridge are becoming increasingly more difficult to find, rarely are they encountered in this fine of condition. Scarce opportunity to acquire one of the best. -MKS-
