Displayable example of a World War II US Coast Guard Chelsea ship's clock. The clock was manufactured by Chelsea Clock Co. of Boston, Massachusetts, and is marked as such on the bottom of the face, as well as "U.S. COAST GUARD / SER. NO. 2148 1943". This example is housed in a thick plastic case with a glass cover that is marked "Chelsea Clock Co. / Boston" on the reverse. The clock features an F-S adjuster to quickly fine tune the speed at which the clock is running. The key is missing and the clock has not been wound. CONDITION: The plastic is nicely preserved and does not exhibit any major cracks. The glass is also clean with no cracks. Face is dirty and could be cleaned. Paint on the face exhibits fading from age. Overall good.
