Beginning production in 1921, a total of 54,000 Handy Guns were produced before the National Firearms Act in 1934. Due to their numerous (albeit small) variations, these were quite popular firearms during their time, and are still quite popular with collectors today. The left side of the frame is stamped "H&R ("HANDY-GUN"), with Harrington & Richardson's manufacturer information present on the right. Top of barrel bears the caliber designation. Frame is case colored with the barrel being blued. Grip is comprised of checkered walnut, with the forend being smooth walnut. Matching numbers are present on the frame and barrel. CONDITION: Receiver exhibits strong case coloring overall, with scattered spots of age related discoloration and mild surface oxidation overall. Barrel has been wonderfully reblued at some point in time and retains a mirror bore. Wood furniture exhibits some scattered nicks and marks from handling and storage, but is otherwise fine.
