Manufactured by an unknown gunsmith circa 1850. 29" hooked breech, unmarked twist steel barrels with right being a .58 caliber rifled barrel and left being a 20 gauge shotgun. Barrels have smooth rib with rifle sights. Gunsmith made hammers and back action percussion locks with double trigger. Interestingly shaped figured walnut stock with textured carved grip and pronounced cheekpiece with brass and German silver hardware. Comes with leather sling which appears to be period. CONDITION: Overall fair with metal having a silvery gray and plum appearance. Wood has traces of original varnish with usage dings and scratches. Pitted bores with crisp mechanics. DLM
