Manufactured 1930. Blade front sight and notch rear sights. Left side of slide with "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED APR.20. 1897 DEC.22.1903", with rampant Colt at rear. Right side of slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" under ejection port. Left side of frame with serial number, left side of trigger guard with Colt VP proof and "1" subinspector proof; right side of trigger guard with "51". Checkered walnut grips retained by single screw through escutcheon, with Colt medallions. Heel magazine release. CONDITION: Overall good, retaining the majority of the Colt factory high polish blue, with silvering to high edges and muzzle. Spotted oxidation visible on slide top and area of barrel visible through ejection port. Some surface scratches and handling marks throughout, mostly towards muzzle but scattered throughout. Some silvering to reciprocating areas. Front grip strap with some brown patina, still retaining approximately 70% blue. Grips are very good, free of cracks of chips. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling and light frosting. EMW
