Lot consists of: (A) A wonderful collection of 9th Illinois reunion ribbons all work by Geo. A. Price. There are 8 ribbons total that are from the 1892, 1894, 1895, 1897, 1898, 1899, 1902, and 1912 reunions. There is also a 9th Illinois Cavalry medal, a horse bit boss, and a copy of a photo of Mr. Price wearing the medal. This is a very nice group of insignia from a veteran who was clearly proud of his service. CONDITION: Ribbons all remain vibrant with crisp lettering. No significant tears with light wear and some with staining. Medal and boss exhibit a nice patina. (B) 9th Vermont Volunteer Infantry ladder badge on a Ferrisburgh Republican Club 1888 ribbon. The regiment was mustered into Federal service on July 9, 1862, at Brattleboro, Vermont and was present at Harper's Ferry, Newport Barracks, Chaffin's Farm, Fair Oaks and the Fall of Richmond. CONDITION: Ribbon was once torn and exhibits a repair. Ladder exhibits an older cleaning with a nice patina.
