vz. 24 semi-automatic pistol manufactured at the CZ arsenal and accepted into Czechoslovakian service in 1927. Right side of receiver is stamped "CZ" followed by a Czech "J (Rampant Lion) 27" military acceptance proof, and the serial number. Top of slide is stamped "CESKA ZBROJOVKA A,S, v, PRAZE" followed by the serial number and an additional Czech Rampant Lion proof. Front grip strap is stamped "1P214", likely indicating issue to a Czech 1st Infantry Regiment, Weapon Number 214. Pistol has been arsenal refurbished: major metal components are blued, and some smaller components are strawed. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece smooth wood wraparound grip. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel. Pistol is accompanied by a brown leather holster containing 2 spare magazines. CONDITION: Extremely fine, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their arsenal reapplied blue finish, exhibiting few spots of minor wear and a few small spots of very light pitting that is present beneath the bluing. Strawed components are excellent. Bore is bright, exhibiting light surface pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grip is extremely fine. Holster exhibits smoothing and some exterior wear but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. An exceptional and highly attractive arsenal refurbished CZ vz. 24 semi-automatic pistol.
