Model 1906 American Eagle Luger manufactured by DWM for commercial sales within the United States. The receiver is stamped with the US Great Seal over the chamber, with crown over "B" and "U" proofs present on the left, which are also present on the breechblock and toggle. Toggle bears the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Underside of barrel is stamped with crown over "B", "U", and "G" proofs above the serial number. Major metal components are rust blued, while some smaller components are strawed or nitre blued. Safety is appropriately blank, polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. All serialized components are matching. Grips are properly unmarked. Nickel plated magazine with blank wood bottom. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original rust blue finish, exhibiting some minor areas of wear and thinning that show through to a pleasant brown patina, as well as some light edge wear overall. Strawed components are excellent, with a few small spots of age related oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting mild pitting and retaining strong, well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as a few minor nicks and impressions, but are otherwise fine. A very nice DWM Model 1906 American Eagle Luger.
