Manufactured in 1877 with 7 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .45 Colt with single line barrel address, blade front sight, and frame notch rear. Blackpowder frame with donut ejector rod head. Nickel finish. 1-piece plain aftermarket ivory grips. Matching serial numbers observed on frame, trigger guard, and butt. Barrel and cylinder are not serial numbered. Accompanied by a factory letter confirming caliber and finish type, and that this revolver was part of a shipment of 50 guns of the same type to B. Kittredge & Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 25, 1877. Barrel length and grips are both listed as "Not Listed", which typically meant that they were whatever was standard for the period (during this era standard would have been a 7 - 1/2" barrel with walnut stocks). Complete with black period slim jim leather holster. CONDITION: Excellent for its age, with most of the factory nickel plating remaining with wear and freckling throughout. Barrel especially shows some heavy handling wear near centerpin, which is marred. Ivory grips have yellowed with age and show some edge wear with no major cracks. Mechanically fine, cylinder is slightly out of time. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Holster is well worn with cracked leather throughout, tight stitching, and leather pliable.
