Classic blued and case hardened configuration of the Colt SAA with a 5 - 1/2" barrel. Standard SAA front sight, 1-line address on top of barrel, kidney shaped ejector rod head. 2-line 3-date patent information on left side of frame. Matching serial numbers observed on frame, and inside of trigger guard and backstrap under the grips. Markings have been accented by carefully applied white infill; matching 2 digit "62" on rear of cylinder, matching assembly "812" on inside of frame and cylinder gate. Hard rubber grips with iconic Rampant Colt vignette. Factory letter confirms configuration and shipment to Von Lengerke and Antoine, Chicago, Illinois, on June 18th, 1928 in a shipment of 2. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately three-quarters of the blue finish, with most losses on left side of barrel, probably from storage, with mixed browning and gunmetal grey. Frame with vivid case colors in protected areas, fading towards high edges and more exposed areas. Grips are excellent with some smoothing and minor handling marks. Backstrap with some surface scratching and loss of blue. Cylinder with turn mark and handling marks commensurate. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling and mild frosting.
