Lot consists of: (A) Pipe tomahawk with hand-forged iron blade, circa 1885-1900. Head measures 7 - 1/2" tall with a 2" cutting edge. Haft has been drilled to smoke, has a pewter mouthpiece, and is profusely carved with mountain or tipi designs. Adorned with 3 weasel and dyed horsehair drops tied with leather thongs. (B) Pipe tomahawk with iron blade, circa 1885-1900. Head measures 6 - 3/4" with a 2" cutting edge. Haft is drilled for smoking, and has a burned stripe design with center hole drilled to attach an adornment or decoration. CONDITION: Both show light pitting and frosting to the blades with heads solidly attached to the hafts.
