Made by Colt Firearms Company in 1937. Blued finish 2" round barrel with factory large blade front sight, Colt "38 DETECTIVE SPECIAL" 2-line marking, and Colt 2-line address. Blued frame with Rampant Colt, plain trigger, and blued cylinder. Standard checkered walnut Rampant Colt emblem stocks. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: 95% blue with light edge wear, no visible turn line, and light discoloration on the crane under cylinder. 90% finish on grips with sharp checkering. Mirror bore with crisp mechanics.
