Circa 2001. A very fine and rare over/under game gun with demi-bloc nitro proofed 28 - 3/4" blued steel barrels. These shiny barrels have been built with 2 - 3/4" chambers, ejectors, and a hand filed, low profiled, raised rib featuring a single steel bead sight and extension at breech. Top barrel on left reads "F.LLI BERTUZZI". Barrels stamped "15.8", "KG1.300" and with proof mark. Barrel flat showing proof marks, "6060", "CAM.70", "20/70" and "ARMI BERTUZZI". Chokes are Extra Full on the over barrel and Improved Modified on the under barrel. Barrel wings with light border scrolls. This beautiful gun combines the craftsmanship of a skilled gunmaker and the artistic talents of incredible engraving artisans. Game scenes with fantasy and intricate scrolls adorn this innovative Gullwing sidelock actioned gun. Left lock plate door engraved with smiling hunt dogs peering through tall grass with a covey of quail taking flight over field. Right lock with hunting dogs gazing through field as a flock of pigeons make their escape. Bottom action engraved with a hunting dog and his prairie chicken prey in grassy field. "FLLI BERTUZZI" is engraved at action bars. "V.PELI Creative Arts" is signed on right hand side of trigger plate. "TORCOLI INC." is signed at action bottom just below the prairie chicken. Game scene engraving and action supported by fancy fantasy scroll engraving. With Gullwing doors ajar, the company's logo is on display in gold, as well as the sidelock action, which is also in gold. Double triggers, front hinged, are protected by the scroll engraved guard that leads to the long bottom strap with matched engraving and serial number. Action with engraved top lever and safe slide. "S" engraved; non-auto safe. A beautiful deluxe piece of Turkish walnut with oil finish bears drop points, finely checkered English grip, and a fully checkered butt. Matched forend with company logo in gold and Boss styled scroll engraved barrel wings, exterior iron metal, and Anson release. Interior iron metal engraved with "60", matching the last 2 numbers of the serial. Gun resides in orange brown leather case with a pair of snap caps. Inner lid with black and gold FLLi BERTUZZI case label. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain mostly all of their color. Bores are bright. Action, triggers, wings, and ejectors all operate well. Stock and forend excellent. Great and impressive gun!
