Manufactured circa 1899. Classic configuration saddle ring carbine with blued finish, 20" barrel, full length magazine tube retained by a pair of bands, German silver blade front sight, ladder rear, 2-piece plain walnut stocks, and carbine butt plate. Desirable .38-55 chambering. CONDITION: Good. Significant portions of original blue are retained, drifting to gray patina with some cleaned pinprick oxidation. Stocks are very good as lightly cleaned with some scattered marks. Good bore with well defined rifling and some cleaned oxidation spots. Fine mechanics. A classic Western carbine.
