Manufactured in Eibar, Spain from 1915 to 1937 as a quality copy of the iconic Winchester Model 1892 saddle ring carbine chambered in .44-40. Finished in polished blue with case hardened lever, trigger, and hammer. The 22" round barrel with full length magazine tube retained by a pair of barrel bands is mounted with a standard dovetail blade front sight and flip-up carbine rear sight graduated out to 1000 meters. Classic saddle ring receiver. Smooth walnut forend and straight grip stock with sling swivels and tool trap butt plate. Complete with original 4-piece cleaning rod. No visible import markings. CONDITION: Very good overall. The vast majority of the original factory blue is retained throughout with a saddle ring ghost and cleaned oxidation spotting. Attractive, strong case colors displayed on the lever sides, trigger, and hammer with some areas of fading. Stocks have some scattered impressions and nicks but remains good overall. Excellent bore and mechanics. Overall much nicer condition than usually encountered.
