Circa 1927 per serial number. Dovetail lump barrels with mushroom bead front sight on a matted tapered solid rib with "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL" with flanking arrows towards rear. Engraved in a chip pattern at the breeches. Barrel flats with parker proofs, including overload proof, marked on lug for 20 gauge, 0 size frame, and serial number on left side. Splinter forearm with reinforced tip, Deely latch release with double diamond point pattern checkering about the latch, and engraved with wriggle work on exterior iron. Interior iron case colored with serial number. Boxlock action with "Parker Bros" on either side, and engraved with wrigglework. Action flats with serial number, VH designation, and October patent date. Double triggers protected by a flat bottom trigger guard with serial number on tang. Automatic safety with "SAFE" engraved ahead of slide. Stock with side panels, checkered in point-and-wave pattern about the wrist, pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap, badge shaped German silver escutcheon on toe line, and hard rubber dog's head buttplate. CONDITION: Barrels with the vast majority of their bluing with some minor handling marks and superficial scratches throughout, with silvering on sharp edges. Forearm with some handling marks, iron with smooth chocolate patina, edges silvered. Action mixed bright grey with chocolate patina, interior with dulled case colors, silvering on edges. Stock has been added and revarnished, checkering recut, with some softening to sidepanels. Mechanically fine, bores very good with some minor frosting.
