Manufactured in 1953 by FEG in Budapest as a copy of the standard Soviet M91/30 PU sniper. Finished in standard arsenal blue. Rifle retains hooded post front sight and tangent rear. Receiver is side mounted with a Hungarian circle "B" and "02" marked scope base. A 1944 dated Soviet Factory #357 NKV PU 91/30 scope bearing 1969 rebuild markings on an unmarked base in included with leather eyepiece caps and canvas cover. Non matching but correct Hungarian sniper bolt with correct lengthened handle numbered "BC6669". Matching "BC6573" numbers observed on the barrel shank, floor plate, and butt plate. Stocks are typical 2-piece oil finished birch marked on the right with circle "B" and "02" arsenal stamps. Notably, Hungarian M52 snipers saw heavy use with the Vietcong during the Vietnam conflict. This non import marked example was likely a bringback. CONDITION: Very good overall. The vast majority of original arsenal blue is retained with some expected wear at the muzzle, magazine assembly, and other high edges. Stock appears lightly cleaned but is otherwise very fine. Dark oxidized bore with defined rifling. Fine mechanics. Scope is very good with clear optics.
