Numbered 834822, well within a known block, 820,000-845,000, of pistols produced in the mid-1930s for the Reichszeugmeisterei, which procured uniforms and other necessary supplies for the NSDAP. The pistols were officially purchased by the National Socialist party and are believed to have been available only to political leaders. Pistol is finished in early high polish commercial blue with standard slide legends marked on the left side followed by a clean etched "RZM" control marking. Commercial crown over "N" proofed on barrel and slide. Fixed sights and early 90 degree safety. Correct checkered "WALTHER" banner mottled red brown Bakelite wrap around grips. Butt affixed with fixed lanyard loop. Pistol is accompanied by 2 "WALTHER" banner marked magazines, 1 with correct plastic finger tab, as well as a "Walther / P.P.K." ink stamped brown leather "D.R.G.M." "Akah" holster. Holster also stamped on the front flap "L2-1051 / 1935". CONDITION: Excellent. Approximately 97% original blue with only light edgewear. Grips are very good with light handling marks and a small split radiating from the left screw escutcheon. Very good, bright and shiny bore with a few cleaned pits. Crisp mechanics. Holster has some mild wear and remains supple. A very fine example of a desirable Nazi party used PPK.
