Shipped July 27, 1944. Features include serrated front sight, rounded "U" notch rear sight, serrated slide stop, serrated thick tab safety, knurled spur hammer, checkered magazine release, knurled short trigger, and serrated rounded mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Mounted with checkered Keyes fiber grips with 5 pointed star manufacture mark visible inside each grip panel. Complete with "G" marked Parkerized magazine, 1944 dated Boyt leather holster, and period plastic dry bag. Slide is marked with Ithaca manufacture marking on left side with "P" proofmark near rear sight and marked with Ordnance Bomb beneath firing pin retaining plate. Barrel is marked "F" on left side of lug and "P" proofmark on right side of lug. Right side of frame is marked with crossed cannon cartouche which has silvering where it broke through the parkerizing, US Property marking, and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" model marking. Left side of frame is marked with "FJA" cartouche and "P" proofmark. CONDITION: Excellent, with nearly all of the original Parkerizing remaining. Grips show no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine. Bore is lightly frosted with crisp rifling. Holster is excellent with tight stitching and supple leather. Dry bag shows no major tears or signs of distress.
