Manufactured in 1943. Features include serrated front sight, rounded square notch rear sight, knurled short trigger, serrated slide lock, knurled thick tab safety, knurled narrow hammer, and knurled rounded mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Accompanied by "S" marked magazine and 1944 dated Boyt holster. Left side of slide is marked with Union Switch & Signal manufacture marking and "P" proofmark on top near slide serrations. Barrel is marked "HS" and "P" on barrel lug. Right side of frame is marked on right side with US Property marking and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". Left side of frame is marked with "R.G.D." cartouche and "P" proofmark. Mounted with checkered Keyes Fiber Co. grips. CONDITION: Excellent, with the vast majority of the original Du-Lite finish remaining with scattered superficial handling marks and wear to edges. Grips show no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Holster has honest wear with tight stitching and pliable leather.
