Rare and hard to find 480 code P-38. This gun has the stick eagle 359 military proofs on the right side of the receiver and "P.38 480" on the left side. High gloss blue finish with two piece plastic grips. Detachable box magazine. The 480 code was manufactured from July 1940 until October 1940. It was the first military P.38. Approximately 7200 were produced. Comes in a leather holster that is marked "bla 1944" with a waffenamt WaA158. CONDITION: This gun retains some of the original blue finish. Most of the finish loss is to the barrel and front grip strap. Grips are near mint with no chips or cracks. Bore is good and has well defined lands and grooves. The stitching on the holster is tight and serviceable.
