50.2cm nagasa of shobu zukuru form, with iori mune and kiri nakago jiri. Boshi gets very close to yakizume but may be a very tight ko-maru. Jihada largely of masame, with some areas of itame and mokume, Hamon a very tight midare with areas of choji, replete with activity, including nijuba, sunagashi, and kinsuji. Mumei, with 2 mekugi-ana, one partially filled with solder; consignor tag attributes the sword to Bungo Takada, but TK papers attribute to Shikkake. Solid silver catscratch habaki, tsuba pierced with designs of kelp and waves, in maru gata ko sukashi form, mumei. Fuchi and kashira with relief florals, menuki depict a man wrestling a catfish. Saya with ribbing. CONDITION: In good polish with some areas of ware and spotting. One chip and more pitting at habaki moto. Mounts are good with some rubs. but complete and tight. There is no mekugi, and the slot does not line up to the mekugi-ana, exercise caution.
