German World War II Heer M35 double decal helmet in a shell maker/size "Q/62" and lot number of "956". The entire shell has been repainted with visible brush strokes. Shell exterior retains approximately 65% of a smooth gray-green paint. Shell interior retains approximately 70% of its paint with dullness, dirt, and freckling. On the inner rear skirt is painted the name "O:Schirrm.Holzwarrn" and the unit "1./ I.R. 13" in white. Toned Heer eagle rates 60-65% with crazing, and the tricolor rates 60-65%, with crazing. Both had a coating of lacquer poorly applied. Early liner is dry, dirty and with moderate wear and all tongues present. Original rivers appear undisturbed. An original early chinstrap with aluminum fittings is present with heavy wear and the tip is missing. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. WEZ
