3rd Model rifle received in the Winchester warehouse December 24, 1890 and shipped out August 20, 1891. Fitted with a blued barrel with 2-line address, German silver blade front sight, and sporting rear. Standard 2-piece walnut stocks mounted with blued steel nose cap and tool trap crescent rifle butt plate. Accompanied by a photocopy of a 2009 dated factory letter confirming configuration. CONDITION: Very fine. The vast majority of the original factory applied blue is retained with some thinning and wear along the high edges. Significant portions of case color patterning retained on hammer, the lever largely faded to patina. Stocks are fine with scattered impressions throughout. Very good bore with strong, well defined rifling throughout. Crisp mechanics. A nice example.
