This is a 42 code 1940 dated gun. It has the two piece wood checkered grips and aluminum magazine bottom. All black finish. Stick eagle 655 waffenamts on the right side of the receiver. Gesichert safety marked in the up position. The grips are numbered 66. The magazine is numbered 3786t+ with a stick eagle 63 waffanampt. Comes with capture papers dated November 20th, 1945, to Tec. 4 Joseph Caggiano. CONDITION: This gun has most of the original factory applied finish. There are a couple of high edge wear spots and some slight handling marks. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. The checkering on the grips is sharp and crisp. A very desirable and collectible Luger.
