Circa 1974 per serial number. 28" barrels with steel bead front sight on low profile vent rib, with Belgian Browning legends for a 2 - 3/4" chambered 12 gauge Superposed. Marked "*-" and "28**-" for Improved Modified over Improved Cylinder. Round nose sliding forearm with point pattern checkering about sliding release. French Grey action engraved in classic Diana grade with bevy of pheasants on left side, 2 nesting, 2 standing, and 1 descending in a wooded scene, 2 quail in flight on bottom of action, and a group of 4 ducks on right, 2 airborne, 1 on the shore, and 1 on the water; supporting floral scroll and punch dot throughout, with an additional vignette depicting a pair of hares alerting on the trigger guard. Signed "LA Campo" under ducks on right side. Barrel selective safety with "U" and "O" for barrel selection and "S" ahead of slide. Square knob long tang stock configuration of a nicely wave grained and fiddlebacked walnut with point pattern checkering about the wrist. With Browning branded hard rubber buttplate, and housed in classic Browning chamois lined case. CONDITION: Barrels with the vast majority of their bluing with some light handling marks, and some thinning ahead of forearm from sliding action. Stocks are very good with some handling marks and impressions, somewhat heavier on butt, with some lifting of lacquer on forearm at mullered borders. Action with crisp engraving with some spotted oxidation, heavier on trigger guard and towards rear of action. Mechanically fine, bores are very good with some frosting ahead of forcing cones. Case is good with some spotted molding on exterior.
