The Bundesheer was formed in 1920 as the peoples Austrian Army. After the second world war, the Bundesheer were re-armed with arsenal rebuilt WWII Walther P-38 semi automatic double action pistols. Parts were mixed, guns refinished, frame serial numbers added to match the slides and then issued much like our Cavalry over haul of 1890. All bear the BH stamp on the left side of frame. This example has the commercial HP stamp on left side of slide. The arsenal re-stamped the frame with matching number on left and right side of frame. Grips are brown plastic and the barrel is import stamped. Metal is arsenal reblued. Comes with no magazine. CONDITION. Fine as redone showing holster, high edge and muzzle wear. Legends are sharp. Grips are excellent. Double action works correctly. Bore is bright.
