Typical post war sporterized military WWI Gew 98. This gun had the stock altered by shortening forearm, plugging rear stock hole and splicing a Monte Carlo comb with rubber butt plate. The replaced barrel has no provision for sights and is stamped .270. Receiver has added scope blocks and sports Weaver adjustable rings and scope. CONDITION. Very good. 90% blue on barrel, 70% with some light pitting on frame, very good wood. Bore is bright.
