Octagon barrel stamped "J.S. FOWLER" on the top flat, likely John S. Fowler of Belmont County, Ohio. German silver blade front sight sight and V-notch rear. Lightly engraved Joseph Manton percussion lock and double set triggers. Half length walnut stock with pewter tip, figural trigger guard, double line cheek piece, and crescent butt plate. Complete with hickory rod. CONDITION: Good. Iron components exhibit a freckled chocolate brown patina throughout. Stock is dark with scattered dings and nicks. Action in need of attention.
