This was the last issue of the original pinned and recessed Model 29s. Built on the square butt 3 screw N target frame, red insert front sight, target rear sight, case color target hammer and trigger, and checkered walnut target stocks with silver medallion. Housed in a mahogany display box. Manufactured 1975-76. The first Dirty Harry film was released in 1971 in which he supposedly used a 6 - 1/2" Model 29 in .44 Magnum (apparently, during the shooting scenes, he used a Model 25 due to the availability of blank .45) which caused a sensation amongst shooters to get a new Dirty Harry magnum. CONDITION: Excellent. Shows near new with a light drag line and light handling.
