Nice set of original accessories for the MG-34 machine gun. Complete gunner’s kit in leather pouch including: bolt, wrench, AA rear sight, broken case extractor, stuck case remover, and hot barrel mitt (ink stamped either 1943 or 1945). Also included in an original MG-34 barrel carrier with Nazi eagle proofed collar on unmarked “spare” barrel. An original Nazi “993 / 1940” marked double barrel carrier (empty), and original green paint “44” marked 50 round assault drum (empty). CONDITION: Tools in gunner’s pouch show brown patina from storage, but should clean up well. Leather of pouch is starting to harden but remains strong and serviceable. Barrel in carrier is lightly pitted externally, but has a near excellent bright shiny bore. Paint on both carriers is repaint over dings and dents, but care was taken to get the color right, perhaps a WWII vintage repaint on the double barrel carrier. Assault drum is original paint. A very nice accessory lot for the MG-34, all pre-May 1945. JWK 2024-09-021.
