This nicely constructed pistol features a pair of fine twist pattern inline percussion barrels, each marked near the breech with Liege proof marks. Pistols are operated by a pair of folding nitre blued triggers. An approximately 4" spear point blade folds downward between the triggers. Body is constructed of steel and brass with German silver scales. The scales exhibit attractive, nearly full coverage foliate engraving with pointer and bird vignettes on the left and florals on the right. A similar example is pictured in page 134 of Winant's "Firearms Curiosa". CONDITION: Very fine. Barrels display very attractive twist patterning, other iron components fading to a pleasant gray patina. Traces of blue are retained on the triggers. Scales are bright and clean with nicely preserved engraving. Good mechanics. A very unusual and very nicely executed cut and shoot pistol.
