Manufactured 1908. This beautiful deluxe model features a scarce special order 24" half octagon barrel with a full length magazine tube and deluxe checkered pistol grip walnut stock with a Winchester grip cap, rifle butt plate, sling eyes, and matching forearm. Also sports a special Lyman front white bead sight, Lyman two leaf folding rear sight, and a desirable Lyman No. 21 frame mounted peep sight. Standard blue finish with case color hammer, lever, and butt plate. CONDITION: Superb 97% rich blue on frame with some light high edge wear. The loading gate retains majority of the nitre blue finish and the bolt shows almost no wear. The barrel and tube retain nearly all of the blue with some light handling. Barrel legends are sharp. The nose cap retains nearly all of the blue finish. Strong, almost bright case color on hammer & lever with strong color still remaining on butt plate. The stocks show a few minor dings and impressions with some added finish. The action is crisp. The bore is sharp. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
