German World War II Polizei M40 double decal helmet in a shell maker/size "SE66" and lot number of "954". Shell exterior retains approximately 50% of its rough gray-green paint, with freckling, stains, and white paint. Shell interior retains approximately 60% of its rough paint with dust and freckling. Polizei eagle rates approximately 60%, and NSDAP party decal rates 65%. Both exhibit era-applied lacquer. Original liner is very dark with moderate wear, staining, damage. Original drawstring is missing, but a shoelace is present. Aluminum liner band with what appears to have undisturbed rivets. An original chinstrap with aluminum fittings and heavy wear and damage is present. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. WEZ
