Manufactured in 1888. Features a full octagon barrel, full tube magazine, dove tail front sight, semi buckhorn rear sight, walnut stock with rifle butt plate and matching forearm. Finish was blue with case color. CONDITION: Very good. No real visible original finish in that all of the exposed metal is a dark patina with overall age freckling. The Winchester two line barrel legend is crisp. The wood is flush or proud to metal. The stock shows a closed stress hairline at right wrist with finish loss and scattered dings and impressions. The forearm has an array of small dings on left side. The action is fine. The bore is very dark with abrasions. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
