Manufactured 1885. Standard rifle with full octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, blue finish, German silver tip front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, walnut stock with rifle butt plate, no trap, and matching forearm. CONDITION: Fine. The right side of the receiver retains about 85% bright factory blue with brilliant nitre blue on loading gate and strong bright blue on the dust cover. The left side has strong bright blue from sideplate back with thinning blue on plate, but the front is devoid of finish. The barrel and tube are a solid 95% with some thinning. The two line Winchester top barrel address is strong. The caliber stamp on brass carrier is also strong. The stocks are proud to metal with minimal impressions. The action is fine. The bore is defined but thinning with abrasions. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
