This 4" extra length rifle was manufactured in 1885. All other features are standard: full octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, German silver tip front sight, replaced flat top rear sight, blue finish, and walnut stock with non-trapdoor rifle butt plate and matching forearm. CONDITION: Very good. All of the metal is soft brown patina, except the bright blue replaced sight and some blue on the loading gate. The two line Winchester barrel legend is strong. Caliber stamp on brass carrier is barely visible. Stock is shy to metal and nicely refinished at one time with a few scars. Forearm commensurate. Bore is well defined but does have residue and some abrasions. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
