Manufactured in 1938. It is estimated that less than 10% of production of this model were in this caliber and twice as scarce as the .219 Zipper. Features full round barrel, 2/3 magazine, blue finish, ramp front sight, filled rear slot with a Lyman tang sight. The left side of frame has the two peep sight holes that were not standard fare until 1952, but were available special order. The plain pistol grip stock wears a checkered steel butt plate with matching forearm. CONDITION: Fine. The receiver has some strong blue along edges with flashes on sides, balance flaked to a brown grey patina. The barrel and tube still wear about 85% blue with some thinning and handling marks. The left side Winchester barrel legend is sharp. The bolt retains majority of blue as does the loading gate. The stocks are excellent with scattered impressions. The action is smooth and the bore is bright. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
