Originally manufactured in 1953. Rifle has been professionally refinished long ago, the receiver embellished along the edges with well executed foliate scroll engraving. Tapered round barrel with ramped Marbles Sheard front sight and receiver mounted Williams peep rear sight, the rear dovetail filled in with a Williams blank. Forend and pistol grip have been hand checkered in the factory style pattern. Standard checkered steel widows peak butt plate. CONDITION: Very good as upgraded. Rifle retains the vast majority of the reapplied blued finish with some wear and thinning, especially on the receiver. Stocks are fine as lightly sanded and reoiled with some light marks. Aftermarket checkering remains sharp. Very good, bright bore with well defined rifling throughout. Fine mechanics. A nicely upgraded 64. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
