3rd model rifle manufactured in 1886. Fitted with a blued round barrel with 1902 patent blade front sight and semi buckhorn rear. Classic 2-piece walnut stocks with crescent rifle butt plate without tool trap. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains strong traces of original blue in the protected areas, the balance faded to an honest and attractive dove gray patina. Traces of case color visible on the hammer, the lever largely faded to patina with some patterning. Forend has light marks with a coat of added finish. Stock has a rich darkened appearance with impressions and some spots of finish loss. A small split present at the toe. Bore is strong with well defined rifling and some mild black powder abrasion.
