Manufactured in 1905. Fitted with a blued octagon barrel in desirable .25-35 chambering with full length magazine tube, blade front sight, and King buckhorn rear. Polished blue solid frame with case hardened hammer and lever. Straight grain walnut forend and straight grip stock with blued crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrel retains approximately 97% factory blue with some light high edge wear. Magazine tube shows slightly more wear, approximately 92% blue, the hanger largely faded to patina. A ding also present on the magazine tube. Frame displays the vast majority of its lustrous polished blue with some thinning, especially on the underside and a few cleaned oxidation spots. 80% brilliant nitre blue on the loading gate. Hammer and lever exhibit bright flashes of color the balance faded to patina. Left side of the lever has especially nice color. Stocks fit proudly and have expected light impressions throughout. Strong, well defined bore. Crisp mechanics. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
