Gun (A) is a circa 1981 Winchester 94 carbine with blued steel barrel, full length magazine tube, blade front sight, sporting rear, pewter coated engraved receiver, saddle ring, and large loop lever. The receiver is engraved with scenes from John Wayne's long movie career. The left depicts 6 horses pulling a stagecoach with Indians in chase. The right side depicts John Wayne on horseback on a cattle drive. Both engravings feature fancy scrollwork and are framed by the names of his movies. The upper tang features a facsimile of John Wayne's signature. Straight grip American walnut checkered stock with blued steel buttplate. Gun (B) Is a John Wayne Colt SAA commemorative revolver. Full blued finish with 4 - 3/4" barrel and .45 LC chambering. Scroll engraving on barrel and frame. Gold American Eagle & Shield on left side of barrel with banner labeled "JOHN WAYNE". Cylinder has a gold inlaid bust of John Wayne and depiction of Wayne on horseback. Backstrap has "John Wayne" signature in gold script. Guns are housed in an attractive custom glass front hardwood display case with boxes of John Wayne commemorative .32-40 and .45 Colt ammunition. CONDITION: Both guns are excellent, like new and appear unfired. Case is very fine. Ammunition boxes are sealed in plastic wrap but appear to be full. A very nice assembled tribute set commemorating one of the most celebrated Western actors. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
