Manufactured in 1888. The original octagon barrel has been rebored, as is hand stamped "45-70 W.C.F." at the breech. German silver blade front sight and semi-buckhorn rear. 2-piece plain walnut stocks with crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Rifle displays an overall freckled plum patina. Forend is very good with light marks throughout. Stock has been lightly sanded and reoiled with some scattered marks and slivers of loss along the upper tang. Fine bright bore with crisp rifling and some fouling. Fine mechanics.
