David Buick founded the company that would later become the General Motors Corporation. Over 17 million cars bearing his name have been built, yet he was personally involved in making just 120 of those.Buick built 2 series cars in 1925, the Standard version with a 190.8 cu in straight six and the Master with 255 cu in engines. 1925 was the first year that Buick opted to drop the 4-cylinder engine and produced only the two Standard and Master 6 cylinder units. It was also the first year that nitrocellulose laquer was used in the painting process. Buick built an enviable reputation of stylish and reliable cars that were available in various open and closed models as well as variety of colors.Offered is a 1925 Buick Standard Six Touring model. Priced new at $1,175.00 the Touring offered both open and closed motoring for up to five passengers.
