1966Spearheaded and designed by John Z Delorean, the Tempest’s goal was to be exceptionally room and one of the best utility cars since the Model A. In 1961, the Tempest was named Motor Trend’s car of the year.A major face-lift was made to the 1966 Tempest that included rounded body lines with Coke-bottle effect similar to the full sized Pontiacs. For those wanting V8 power, the 326 and 326 HO options were available producing horsepower ratings of 250 and 285 respectively.Presented is a 1966 Pontiac Tempest Lemans Coupe. Powered by the 326 cu in V* “YP” suffix engine and automatic transmission, the Lemans comes optioned with power steering and brakes, bucket seats, console, AM radio and American Racing wheels. The paint, chrome and interior are spectacular. The 66 Tempest is a very nice restoration on a rust free original body. Runs and drives great!
