The Rolls Royce Corniche, named for the French and Italian term for coastal road with steep mountain cliffs, is a front engine, rear wheel drive hand built 5 seater manufactured by Rolls Royce in both coupe and convertible bodies from 1971 to 1995. The Corniche was a development of the Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward two door coupe and convertible. The Corniche was originally designed by John Polwhele Blatchley and assembled by Mulliner Park Ward. Powered by an all aluminum 6.75 liter OHV V8, the Rolls Cabriolet had a top speed of 118 MPH. A 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission from General Motors was standard. Four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs was complimented with self-adjusting leveling system. Four-wheel disc brakes were standard with ventilated discs at the front.Offered is a beautiful example of a right hand drive 1974 Rolls Royce Corniche. From a private collection in South Carolina, this elegant Mulliner Park Ward bodied 2-door drop-head coupe is British opulence at its finest. From its lavish tan leather interior to its new matching top, this creme Rolls convertible says class and style from every angle. The beautiful burled walnut trim adds to the warmth and richness of the cabin environment. The mechanical components of the car have been well maintained over the consignor’s ownership. With drop-head versions of the Rolls Royce models escalating in value, this 1974 Corniche is available at a fraction of its original cost.• Right Hand Drive• Mulliner Park Ward Body• 6.75 Liter V8 Engine• New Top• Automatic Transmission
