An early machine manufactured by Excelsior Race Track Company of Chicago, Illinois, in the early 1890's. It is in fine working condition and features a paper label on race track, a glass dome with original infield design, original painted horses, and original front brass makers tag. Dropping a nickel in the slot and activating the mechanism, the horses race about the track and the winner is the one closest to the exterior finish line flag. There have been several horse race machines by the Excelsior Race Track company over the years to come to auction, and this has to be the most complete and best condition example we have seen. Stunning graphics and original paint give this early counter top amusement machine survivor status. There is no key to the machine.
