C. 1890–1910. Musical violin walking cane with carved hardwood T-form handle and hinged shaft opening to reveal an internal four-string instrument with bridge, tuning pegs, and sound openings. Two-piece hardwood shaft with brass collar and ferrule. Very good overall with light surface wear consistent with age. Interior strings, bridge, and tuning assembly appear present. Minor oxidation to hardware. Shaft structurally sound. Length: 37".
